COMMUNIA Salon: The right to e-lend (POSTPONED)

Where: Online

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unfortunately forced to postpone our salon on the right to e-lend, which was scheduled to take place on May 29th. We apologise for the inconvenience.

We will reschedule the event and hope that you will be able to join us then. We will inform you about the new date of our event in due time. Thank you for your understanding!

In the meantime, you will be able to read our policy paper on e-lending, coming out next week, where we will shed light on the difficulties faced by libraries when trying to lend out digital books under the same conditions as physical books. We explore the specific legal barriers that prevent libraries from fulfilling their public service mission in the digital environment and share our recommendations on how to overcome these obstacles to ensure that libraries can continue to play a crucial role in ensuring broad public access to knowledge and culture.
