COMMUNIA is excited to be one of the over 40 civil society organisations to co-host the “Tech and Society Summit” on October 1st, 2024. This invite-only event aims to foster dialogue and debate between civil society and recently elected EU decision-makers, focusing on the intersection of technology, society, and the environment.

COMMUNIA, EDRi and all partnering civil society organisations aim to bring civil society’s voices to the forefront of EU’s digital policy debates. Together we are building this space to create a bridge between digital rights organisations and new policymakers to achieve accountable, people-focused policies that advance everyone’s digital rights. Visit EDRi’s event page for more information and check out the draft programme to see what will drive the day.

For those attending the event, make sure to approach COMMUNIA team members about our demands and proposals for the 2024-2029 legislative term, in particular our idea for a Digital Knowledge Act.

We also invite you to join us on the next day, October 2nd, at TownHall Europe, Brussels, for our own event dedicated specifically to the Digital Knowledge Act. Registrations are open to all interested parties.
